About the set
A one‑piece garment combining a top and a skirt, it reveals the most accentuated areas and accentuates the most elegant curves of the body.
The long train at the side provides a concise asymmetry in combination with the triangular cutout on the hips, visually lengthening the figure. The light, flowing top with a neckline, designed in the style of ancient draperies, takes the spotlight in the dress, dominating the graceful lower part and creating an attractive effect. The folds fall differently each time, which is why the look never ceases to amaze and refresh with the complexity of its forms.
While working on this outfit, I pinned the shape directly onto the mannequin, twisting the fabric and shaping it, taking the figure into account, as if superimposing the shape of the fabric onto the contours of the body. This working technique helped me create the perfect combination of the dress’s shape and the body’s forms, to make the ideal union of the material and the immaterial.
Why “Dunes”? The image of this dress is dynamic, fluid, and subject to the elements of wind and the movement of the body. There is a well‑known story.
